Body
WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department has an ongoing need for grounds maintenance equipment; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a term and supply contract for this equipment to Professional Turf Products of Lenexa, KS, under the terms and conditions of the City of Mesa, AZ / OMNIA Partners Contract No. 2023261, an existing competitively bid government contract; and,

WHEREAS, the City of Mesa, AZ/OMNIA Partners contract requires that equipment be purchased from local Toro dealers and Turf Professional Products, Inc., is the regional Toro dealer for the Kansas City metropolitan area; and,

WHEREAS, the Director recommends award under section 1030.4, Jackson County Code, 1984, for the reason that this will allow the County to take advantage of discounts offered to large entities; and,

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases remaining subject to annual appropriation, which is estimated for 2024 to be $40,000.00; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED that award be made under the existing government contract as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
