Body
WHEREAS, the Legislature recognizes the importance of diversity and inclusion in the community; and,
WHEREAS, Murrell Homes Group is a minority-owned, community-led real estate brokerage that operates in the urban core of Kansas City; and,
WHEREAS, Murrell Homes Group is dedicated to empowering and uplifting its clients and the community through consistent work, education, and experience, and strives to lead the real estate industry in the city and beyond; and,
WHEREAS, Murrell Homes Group has shown a commitment to engaging the midtown community and celebrating Black culture, which has contributed to the firm's growth and success; and,
WHEREAS, Murrell Homes Group has expanded its services to include commercial real estate and has experienced tremendous growth, including a sales volume of $21.8 million in 2022 and a total sold real estate value of over $100 million; and,
WHEREAS, Murrell Homes Group is a shining example of the positive impact that a real estate brokerage can have on a community by planting the seed of financial literacy and helping aspiring homeowners achieve their dreams; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the Legislature hereby recognizes Murrell Homes Group for its outstanding contributions to the real estate industry and the community; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature hereby commends the firm's commitment to diversity, inclusion, and education and its dedication to empowering its clients and the community; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature hereby congratulates Murrell Homes Group on its growth and success and wishes it continued success in the future.
