Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Invitation to Bid No. 23-022 for the furnishing of concessions ice cream for resale by the Parks + Rec Department; and,
WHEREAS, a total of thirteen bid notifications were distributed and viewed, and one response was received and evaluated from Kansas City Ice Cream Co., Inc., of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Directors of Finance and Purchasing and Parks + Rec recommend the award of a twelve-month term and supply contract, with two twelve-month options to extend, for the furnishing of ice cream concessions to Kansas City Ice Cream Co., Inc., of Kansas City, MO, as the lowest and best bidder; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Directors of Finance and Purchasing and Parks + Rec, and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have been made in the then current Jackson County budget.
