Body
WHEREAS, Langsford Road is partly within the City of Lee's Summit and partly within the unincorporated area of Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Lee's Summit desires to mill and overlay the road; and,
WHEREAS, the planned roadwork consists of patching as needed, milling two inches of asphalt, replacing two inches of asphalt, and restriping; and,
WHEREAS, the work will take place in the spring or summer of 2023; and,
WHEREAS, County Public Works staff have agreed with City staff to recommend to the Legislature that the County bear thirty-two percent of the estimated costs of this work, $69,803.00; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Cost Share Agreement sets out the rights and obligations of the County in this matter; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Cost Share Agreement with the City of Lee's Summit; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
