Body
WHEREAS, since 2003, the Legislature has authorized a succession of Management Agreements with the Downtown Community Improvement District (DCID) for the furnishing of maintenance and safety-related services at the County's properties located in the Central Business District loop of downtown Kansas City, MO, including Oppenstein Brothers Memorial Park; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Jackson County Parks+Rec recommends execution of the new successor Management Agreement with the DCID for this purpose; and,

WHEREAS, under this successor Agreement the DCID will continue to manage and operate, on behalf of the County, properties located in the Central Business District loop of Kansas City, MO, including Oppenstein Brothers Memorial Park; and,

WHEREAS, services to be provided by the DCID include day-to-day maintenance of the park, grounds cleaning, mowing, snow removal, landscaping, and safety patrol operations; and,
WHEREAS, the annual cost of the Agreement will be $75,000.00, which is the same annual cost that the County has been paying most recently; and,

WHEREAS, the Agreement will be renewable for up to four additional years; and,

WHEREAS, the execution of this Agreement is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
