A motion was made by Jalen Anderson, seconded by Venessa Huskey to  
approve the journal of the previous meeting held on May 15, 2025. The  
motion passed by a voice vote.

PERFECTION OF PROPOSED ORDINANCES AND REPORTS OF COMMITTEE

FINAL PASSAGE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCES  
A motion was made by Manuel Abarca IV, seconded by Venessa Huskey, to  
adopt Ordinance #5909, submitting to the qualified voters of Jackson  
County, Missouri, at the primary election to be held on August 5, 2025, a  
question to amend the Jackson County Charter, with an effective date. The  
motion passed by a roll call vote:

No: 2 - Jalen Anderson and Megan L. Marshall

DaRon McGee, Chairman, said the County Legislature is awaiting a budget  
ordinance from the County Executive.

INTRODUCTION OF PROPOSED RESOLUTIONS AND ASSIGNMENT TO COMMITTEE

COUNTY EXECUTIVE ORDERS  
DaRon McGee asked the Clerk of the County Legislature to discuss the  
County Executive Order received.  
Mary Jo Spino, County Clerk, said her office received an Executive Order  
yesterday for appointments to the Children's Services Fund. One of the  
reappointments no longer lives in the district cited in the order. DaRon  
McGee said the information has been verified by the election board and the  
County Clerk sent a letter to the County Executive regarding this matter. Mr.  
McGee explained that some people being reappointed, due to redistricting,  
no longer live in the district which they were originally appointed.  
Manuel Abarca IV, County Legislator, suggested all appointments to Boards  
and Commissions be checked regarding this issue.  
Sean E. Smith, County Legislator, asked about the County Executive order.  
The Clerk of the County Legislature said it is included on the legislative  
agenda for Monday, May 19, 2025 and will be included in the legislative  
packet.

adjourn the meeting. The motion passed by a voice vote.
