A motion was made by Jalen Anderson, seconded by Manuel Abarca IV to  
approve the journal of the previous meeting held on September 08, 2025.  
The motion passed by a voice vote.

HEARINGS  
Chairman DaRon McGee called for a moment of silence in remembrance of  
the victims of the 911 attacks.  
Manuel Abarca IV, County Legislator, read the following statement:"I would  
like to take a moment of silence to recognize all of the victims of senseless  
gun violence perpetuated in our country by the ease of access to firearms.  
Whether gang violence, mass shooting or lone shooter, no one should be  
gunned down in America. Let us collectively care about common sense gun  
reforms, and not waiver on political sidelines but instead together fight  
against unnecessary gun violence."  
Public hearing regarding Resolution #22032, authorizing Jackson County to  
execute a License with KC Bier Company of Kansas City, MO for an event  
named KC Oktoberfest to be held at Crown Center Square.  
Cathy Holle, representative from KC Bier Company, explained why this  
public hearing was necessary and answered questions from legislators.

adopt Resolution #22032, authorizing Jackson County to execute a License  
with KC Bier Company of Kansas City, MO for an event named KC  
Oktoberfest to be held at Crown Center Square. The motion passed by a roll  
call vote:

adopt Resolution #22033, celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and  
authorizing the Illumination of the Jackson County Courthouse in the Colors  
of the Hispanic Heritage Flag. The motion passed by a roll call vote:
