APPROVAL OF THE JOURNAL OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING  
A motion was made by Manuel Abarca IV, seconded by Venessa Huskey to  
approve the journal of the previous meeting held on May 19, 2025. The  
motion passed by a voice vote.

HEARINGS  
None.  
COMMUNICATIONS WITH AND REPORTS OF THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE  
Caleb Clifford, Chief of Staff, said there were no reports.  
DaRon McGee asked Caleb Clifford for an update on the 2025 budget.  
Caleb Clifford said the County Executive submitted his budget in November  
2024 which is the County Executive's recommendation. He said the County  
Executive is considering the requests from the County Legislature for  
additional funds to be made available as part of the budget. As soon as  
there is a full agreement on the terms, the County Executive can make a  
recommendation. Mr. McGee asked for a timeline on his recommendation.  
Mr. Clifford said yesterday afternoon the Administration received a  
response from Mr. Franklin. The County Executive is meeting with staff this  
morning and will respond back to the Mr. Franklin this afternoon. Mr. McGee  
asked if the County Legislature will have a recommendation from the County  
Executive to consider this week or will it be next week. Mr. Clifford said he  
does not have any additional information except for what he has already  
shared.

The County Legislature is awaiting a budget ordinance from the County  
Executive.  
Charlie Franklin, Chairman of the Budget Committee, said we are hopefully  
getting closer to having a budget.

A motion was made by Charlie Franklin, seconded by Megan L. Marshall, to  
excuse the absence of Jalen Anderson, Donna Peyton and Jeanie Lauer.  
The motion passed by a roll call vote:
