APPROVAL OF THE JOURNAL OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING  
A motion was made by Jalen Anderson, seconded by Donna Peyton, to  
approve the journal of the previous meeting held on May 28, 2025. The  
motion passed by a voice vote.

HEARINGS  
None.  
COMMUNICATIONS WITH AND REPORTS OF THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE  
Frank White, Jr., County Executive was not present.  
The report from the County Executive's Office was provided prior to the  
Unfinished Business section of the agenda.  
Caleb Clifford, Chief of Staff thanked the Chairman on behalf of the County  
Executive for the positive movement that happened today and he thanked  
the Legislature for their work over the last few weeks regarding the budget.  
He stated many people only see the public interactions and think that is all  
that is happening, but there has been a lot of work that has gone into this by  
all members of the Legislature and many County staffers. The County  
Executive’s Office recognizes the importance and looks forward to working  
with the Legislature moving forward.

PERFECTION OF PROPOSED ORDINANCES AND REPORTS OF COMMITTEE  
AN ORDINANCE to amend the 2025 amended budget, adopted December  
31, 2024, and set forth appropriations for the various spending agencies  
and the principal subdivisions thereof, for the fiscal year ending December  
31, 2025.  
(Budget Committee - 3rd. Perfection)  
Sean E. Smith, County Legislator, asked who sent him an electronic copy of  
the amendment for Ordinance #5986. Chairman DaRon McGee stated he  
emailed the Legislature a copy of the budget ordinance and with the  
amendment as an attachment, provided a copy of the budget digitally  
yesterday, and budget books were placed in each mailbox with a copy of the  
amendment as well. Also, the County Counselor’s Office provided the  
amendment that highlights the changes. He stated the Clerk’s Office had  
sent an email with the changes, but the Deputy County Clerk stated the  
information was only provided to the office five minutes before the start of  
the meeting. DaRon McGee stated it would be sent out today.  
A motion was made by Charlie Franklin, seconded by Jalen Anderson, to  
approve the Floor Amendment dated May 30, 2025 to adopt the annual  
budget and set forth appropriations for the various spending agencies and  
the principal subdivisions thereof, for the fiscal year ending December 31,  
2025. The motion passed by a roll call vote:

Chairman DaRon McGee announced the public hearing for the budget will  
be held on Monday, June 9th at 1:30 p.m. The vote for the passage of the  
budget will be taken up during the regular scheduled meeting on the same  
day at 3:00 p.m.

adjourn the meeting. The motion passed by a voice vote.
