Body
WHEREAS, Christine Banks is a mother of two that has found success in dog grooming; and,
WHEREAS, Christine is one of Pawsperity's many success stories who was a part of the inaugural class of Pawsperity in 2016; and,
WHEREAS, Christine was seeking a better occupation and future for herself and her two children that accommodated to her family needs; and,
WHEREAS, while Christine's children were enrolled at Operation Breakthrough, a contact person informed her of a dog grooming program, Christine applied, and was selected, establishing herself to be trained as a pet groomer; and,
WHEREAS, Christine went through Pawsperity pet grooming program and gains a myriad of skills to be successful in the skill of dog grooming; and,
WHEREAS, Christine became the manager of Pawsperity's Lee's Summit Salon, a full-service pet grooming location, where she oversaw operations and staff, that are all graduates of Pawsperity; and,
WHEREAS, Christine has now transitioned from being a manager to owning her own for profit business named The Salon Furever Pets; and,
WHEREAS, Christine has achieved great success in her endeavors of pet grooming which should be honored and recognized; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the Legislature extends its heartfelt congratulations and deepest appreciation to Christine Banks on her exceptional service, dedication, and unwavering commitment to Jackson County and its pet community.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
