Body
WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department requires contracts with wholesale distributors for the furnishing of beer for resale in departmental retail operations; and,
WHEREAS, the County has contracted with County Beverage Company of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Central States Beverage of Kansas City (Jackson County), Missouri, since 2017 for the furnishing of these products; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.6, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of twenty-four-month term and supply contracts, with two twelve-month options to extend, for the furnishing of this commodity to County Beverage Company of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Central States Beverage Company of Kansas City, MO, as proprietary purchases of commodities that are to be offered for resale and that are not available on the competitive market; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have been made in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
