Body
WHEREAS, the Family Court Division of the Jackson County 16th Circuit Court has been awarded additional grant funds for the Racial and Equity Disparity grant in the amount of $65,111.00 by the Missouri Department of Public Safety, for the period beginning October 1, 2021, and extending through September 30, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, the grant will cover funding for a Disproportionate Minority Coordinator (DMC), to oversee, identify, and provided strategies for system involved youth of disproportionate disparities; and,
WHEREAS, this grant does require local matching funds; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary in order to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer and appropriation be and hereby are made:
