Body
WHEREAS, Susan Dunham retired June 30, 2023, from the Grandview C-4 School District after 35 years of service; and,

WHEREAS, Susan Dunham holds a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Physical Education, a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction, a Master of Arts in History, and a Master of Arts in Counseling, all from the University of Missouri - Kansas City; and,

WHEREAS, from 2002 to 2009, Susan Dunham was the social studies teacher at Grandview High School, imparting knowledge and instilling a love for learning in her students, including Jackson County Legislators DaRon McGee and Manuel Abarca IV; and,

WHEREAS, in the academic year 2009 - 2010, Susan Dunham took on the role of school improvement facilitator, demonstrating exceptional leadership and dedication to the betterment of the educational environment; and,

WHEREAS, in the year 2010 - 2011, Susan Dunham returned as a social studies teacher at Grandview High School, continuing to inspire and educate young minds; and,
WHEREAS, in the academic year 2013 - 2014, Susan Dunham transitioned into the role of counselor at Grandview High School, providing invaluable guidance and support to students during a pivotal stage in their lives; and,

WHEREAS, from 2014 to 2018, she served as a counselor at Grandview Middle School, working to create a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students; and,

WHEREAS, from 2018 to 2022, Susan Dunham brought her expertise and passion to Martin City Elementary, where she continued to positively impact the lives of students and the school community; and,

WHEREAS, in the final year of her career, 2022 to 2023, Susan Dunham returned to her roots as a social ...
