Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Invitation to Bid No. 23-015 for a term and supply contract for the furnishing of HVAC services for various County departments for one twelve-month term, with two twelve-month options to extend; and,

WHEREAS, a total of twenty-two notifications were distributed and three responses were received and evaluated, from the following:
BIDDERS
US Engineering Service, LLC,
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

Emcor Services Fagan
Kansas City, KS

Carrier Commercial Service
Lenexa, KS


and,


WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends a split award to US Engineering Service, LLC, of Kansas City, MO, and Emcor Services Fagan, of Kansas City, KS; and,

WHEREAS, a split award to the low bidders is recommended to ensure continued availability and variety of necessary supplies and services from multiple sources; and,

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED that the award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
