Title: Pursuant to section 706.1, Jackson County Code, 1984, I hereby promulgate the following amendment to Rule 9 of the Jackson County Personnel Rules for Jackson County associates. This amendment shall be effective immediately. RE:                     AMENDMENT TO THE PERSONNEL RULES: ACTIVE DUTY

 

Title

Pursuant to section 706.1, Jackson County Code, 1984, I hereby promulgate the following amendment to Rule 9 of the Jackson County Personnel Rules for Jackson County associates. This amendment shall be effective immediately.

 

Rule 9 is amended to the revision of 9.15, to reads as follows:

 

Personnel Rule 9.15 - Active Duty

Associates called to active duty, active-duty training, and or inactive duty training in the National Guard or any reserve component of the armed forces of the United States shall be entitled to receive their county compensation for a period not to exceed one hundred and twenty hours in the period bound by law, October 1 through September 30, (the federal fiscal year). An associate may receive military leave only for hours that the associate would otherwise have worked and received pay.

Members of the National Guard or any reserve component of the armed forces intending to use military leave, (paid or unpaid) for periods of active duty, active-duty training or inactive duty training shall provide their orders in advance, when possible, to their Appointing Authority of any period of military leave. This verification at attendance may include applicable pay documents or other written confirmation from the associate’s military unit of assignment. Any period of applicable service or training in the National Guard or reserve components of the armed forces, beyond the limit of one hundred and twenty hours per federal fiscal year will be designated as unpaid military leave.
