Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Invitation to Bid No. 23-016 for the furnishing of roofing services for use by various County departments; and,

WHEREAS, in order to attract better pricing and promote competition among bidders the requested contract term was extended to twenty-four months with one twelve month option to extend; and,

WHEREAS, a total of twenty-four notifications were distributed and two responses were received and evaluated from the following:

BIDDERS
Delta Innovative Services
Kansas City, KS

The Quality Roofing Company
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a contract for the furnishing of roofing services to Delta Innovative Services of Kansas City, KS, for the reason that it is the lowest and best bidder; and,

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with availability of funds for specific purchases subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award and any necessary extensions; and,
