A RESOLUTION transferring $13,618.00 within the 2023 County Improvement Fund and authorizing three change orders to the contract with CentralSquare Technology LLC of Lake Mary, FL, for additional services for the Jail Information and Computer-Aided Dispatch Project at an additional cost to the County in the amount of $13,617.49 and a new total cost of $1,559,423.45.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 20952, dated May 16, 2022, a three-year contract was awarded to CentralSquare Technologies, LLC, of Lake Mary. FL, for the furnishing of jail and records management and computer-aided dispatch hardware and software; and,
WHEREAS, the Sheriff recommends the authorization of three change orders for additional services with CentralSquare Technologies, LLC, under the current contract as indicated below:
1. The amount of $1,249.98 for Kansas data mining to allow for violator information to be automatically added instead of being added manually;
2. The amount of $1,712.51 to replace the current mug shot collection equipment with new equipment that is guaranteed to work with the new system; and
3. The amount of $10,665.00 to create a Citizen Reporting Portal which will allow citizens to complete non-emergency incident reporting using the Online Portal; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is needed to place the funds required for these change orders in the appropriate spending account; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be made within the 2023 County Improvement Fund:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the three described change orders be authorized as recommended by the Sheriff, and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the authorization; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the contract and all change orders.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
