Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 23-019 for the furnishing of mattresses, bedding, and linens for use by the Detention Center; and,

WHEREAS, a total of forty-three bid notifications were distributed and viewed and five responses were received and evaluated from the following:
Bidders
Charm-Tex
Brooklyn, NY

Bob Barker Company, Inc.
Fuquay-Varina, NC

Acme Supply Co LTD
Glen Cove, NY

Victory Supply
Mount Pleasant, TN

Marina Textiles Inc.
Duluth, GA

and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Sheriff and Director of Finance and Purchasing recommend the award of a twelve-month term and supply contract, with one twelve-month option to extend, for the furnishing of the needed items to Charm-Tex of Brooklyn, NY as the lowest and best bid received; and,

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases remaining subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Sheriff and Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent su...
