Body
WHEREAS, the Administration recommends that the County contract for a Premier Membership at the National WWI Museum and Memorial which will support free admission for veterans and active-duty military members and half-price admission for other attendees to the Museum and the associated events over Memorial Day Weekend, Friday, May 26 to Monday, May 29, 2023, and Veterans Day Celebration, Saturday, November 11, 2023; and,

WHEREAS, the Museum and Memorial embraces the importance Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies and programs have in the community and with the continuation of the County's membership support, the National WWI Museum and Memorial will continue this tradition; and,

WHEREAS, the Jackson County Executive and Legislature will be mentioned in all news releases related to the Memorial Day Weekend and Veterans Day Celebration as well as recognition in the Museum and Memorial's Annual Report and on the Donor Wall; and,

WHEREAS, the Jackson County logo will be featured in the ceremonial programs, webpages, and signage; and,

WHEREAS, said membership is in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to issue a check to the National WWI Museum and Memorial, in the amount of $1...
