Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 109-22 for the furnishing of office furniture for use by various County departments to provide for departmental needs; and,
WHEREAS, a total of eighty-seven notifications were distributed and viewed, and five responses were received and evaluated from the following:

and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of twelve-month term and supply contracts, with one twelve-month option to extend, for the furnishing of office furniture to Office Products Alliance, of Kansas City, MO, and Scott Rice Office Works of Lenexa, KS, as the lowest and best bids received as set forth in the electronic Request for Legislative Action; and,
WHEREAS, a split award is recommended to ensure the availability of a broad variety of products to the using County departments; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and hereby is, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award and any extensions; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have been made in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
