Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids for the furnishing of body armor, law enforcement supplies, and equipment for use by the Sheriff's Office, the Department of Corrections, the Drug Task Force, and the Parks + Rec Department's Park Safety and Enforcement Division; and,
WHEREAS, a total of five notifications were distributed and viewed, and three responses were received and evaluated from the following:
BIDDER
Galls
Lexington, KY
Arrowhead Scientific, Inc.
Lenexa, KS
G.T. Distributors
Pflugerville, TX
and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of twelve-month term and supply contracts with one twelve-month option to extend to Galls of Lexington, KY, Arrowhead Scientific, Inc., of Lenexa, KS, and G.T. Distributors of Pflugerville, TX, as the lowest and best bidders; and,
WHEREAS, a split award is requested to take advantage of the best rates and to provide additional sources when one of the vendors may not have the required supplies and/or equipment available; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases remaining subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended...
