Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff’s Office has a continuing need for electronic reporting and criminal investigation system subscription service and software support; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.1 of the Jackson County Code, the Sheriff and the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommend the purchase of annual subscription services and software support for criminal investigations for use by the Sheriff’s Office from LeadsOnline, LLC, of Plano, TX, an existing County vendor, at a cost to the County in the amount of $7,551.00 in 2022, of which amount $5,673.00 has already been paid, and a total thirty-six month cost in the amount of $34,006.00, as a sole source purchase; and,
WHEREAS, award as a sole source is appropriate as LeadsOnline is the developer and owner of the needed proprietary software and is capable of providing its maintenance; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Sheriff and the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the contract to the extent that sufficient appropriations for the using spending agency are available in the then current County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

Funds for future years are subject to annual appropriation.
