Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends the award of a twelve-month term and supply contract with one twelve-month option to extend to G.W. Van Keppel of Kansas City, KS, for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment for use by the Department's Road and Bridge Division; and,

WHEREAS, G.W. Van Keppel is the only factory authorized dealer in the greater Kansas City area that is capable of providing the maintenance and repair of many of the specific items of proprietary Volvo, Broce Broom, and Etnyre heavy equipment in the County's inventory and is thus a sole source for these services; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.1, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Directors of Finance and Purchasing and Public Works recommend the award of a twelve-month term and supply contract with one twelve-month option to extend for the furnishing of heavy equipment maintenance and repair to G.W. Van Keppel of Kansas City, KS, as a sole source purchase; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the contract be awarded as recommended by the Directors of Finance and Purchasing and Public Works and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the then current Ja...
