BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:
Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "AG" (Agricultural) and “RR” (Residential Ranchette) Districts, so that there will be transferred from District AG to District RR, a tract of land legally described as follows:
That part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 25, Township 47, North of the Base Line, Range 30 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, Jackson County, Missouri, being described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast Corner of said Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter; thence South 88 degrees 09 minutes 07 seconds West along the South line of said Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, 40.11 feet to the West right-of-way line of Bynum Road (Missouri Route E), and to the Point of Beginning of the land herein described; thence continuing South 88 degrees 09 minutes 07 seconds West, 1224.98 feet; thence North 02 degrees 07 minutes 55 seconds East, 668.98 feet; thence North 88 degrees 09 minutes 07 seconds East, 420.14 feet; thence North 02 degrees 21 minutes 34 seconds East, 670.64 feet to the North Line of said Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter; thence North 87 degrees 57 minutes 13 seconds East along said North Line, 807.72 feet to said West right-of-way line; thence South 02 degrees 21 minutes 34 seconds West along said right-of-way line, 1342.62 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing 31.21 acres.
Section 2. The Preliminary Plat “Fields of Peaceful Ridge,” creating a six-lot residential subdivision, is hereby approved.
Section 3. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Steven E. Accurso (RZ-2022-626), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted 7 to 0 to recommend APPROVAL of this application after a public hearing on May 19, 2022, does hereby adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
