Body
WHEREAS, the Family Court Division has been awarded an increase to its Gender-Sensitive Youth Advocacy Program grant in the amount of $58,780.00 by the Missouri Department of Public Safety for the extended period of October 1, 2021, through September 30, 2022; and,
WHEREAS, the purpose of this grant is to ensure gender sensitive monitoring of youths by providing an advocate to work in partnership with juvenile probation officers and offering support through coaching, social groups, tutoring, mental health counseling, and tracking services; and,
WHEREAS, the grant increase does not require local matching funds; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the increased grant funds in the proper spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the undesignated fund balance of the 2022 Grant Fund:
