Body
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a continuing need for the maintenance and repair of its New Holland equipment; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.1 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the contract for the furnishing of these services be awarded to Golden Valley Tractor of Clinton, MO, as a sole source purchase; and,
WHEREAS, award as a sole source purchase is appropriate because Golden Valley Tractor is the only local, factory-certified vendor capable of servicing and repairing the Public Works Department's New Holland specialized equipment; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award and any extension; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have been made in the then current Jackson County budget.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
