Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Invitation to Bid 6-22 for the furnishing of electrical service for use by the Parks + Rec and Public Works Departments; and,

WHEREAS, a total of 315 notifications were distributed and two responses were received and evaluated from the following:

BIDDERS
Staco Electric Construction
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

KC Service Company
Peculiar, MO


and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the split award of a twelve-month term and supply contract, with one twelve-month option to extend, for the furnishing of this service to Staco Electric Construction of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, and KC Service Company of Peculiar, MO, under the terms and conditions of Request for Proposals No. 6-22; and,

WHEREAS, in order to ensure the ready availability of a contractor to perform the needed services, a split award is recommended with Staco Electrical as the primary vendor and KC Service as the secondary vendor in the event that the primary vendor is not immediately available for requested service; and,

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,
