Body
WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department has a need for a facility to host its Special Population Services Basketball program; and,

WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City's Gregg Klice Community Center located at 1600 E. 17th Terrace, Kansas City, MO 64108 is available for the program on an "as needed" basis at the rate of $50.00/hour; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.2, Jackson County Code, the Director of Parks + Rec and the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommend the execution of the attached Cooperative Agreement for the use of the Gregg Klice Community Center with the City of Kansas City, MO, as an acquisition from another governmental entity; and,

WHEREAS, the attached agreement also outlines and clarifies the responsibilities of the City of Kansas City and the Parks + Rec Department for facility use; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Parks + Rec be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County the attached Cooperative Agreement and any other documents necessary to give effect to the intent of this Resolution.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
