Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 20666, dated May 3, 2021, the Legislature did authorize the execution of an Agreement with the Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners (KCBPC) for the furnishing of anti-violent crime prevention activities and services, at a cost to the County not to exceed $2,621,107.00; and,
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 5539, dated August 30, 2021, the Legislature did make available an additional $78,269.00 to fund KCBPC’s prevention activities; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has recommended an addendum to this KCBPC agreement to provide for additional services, at a cost to the County not to exceed $78,269.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Prosecuting Attorney be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Addendum to the Agreement with the Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement and Addendum thereto.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
