Body
WHEREAS, Kevin Pose, Chief Investigator for the Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, will retire December 17, 2021, after more than 43 years of service to Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin joined Jackson County on November 13, 1978, as an investigator for the Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and has served as an investigator under seven different elected and appointed Prosecutors; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin’s investigative skills were repeatedly recognized and he was promoted to Chief Investigator of the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office on November 8, 2008; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin has made significant and profound contributions to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office during his many years of service; and,
WHEREAS, throughout his tenure, Kevin has professionally handled extraditions, detainers, governor’s warrants, writs ad testificandum and prosequendum, arrangements out-of-state witnesses, expungements, and FBI background checks for weapon purchases under the Brady Bill; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin’s colleagues appreciate his professionalism, high ethical standards, integrity, calmness in the face of challenges and, most particularly, his prolific baking skills and his willingness to share those baking successes with the office; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin’s daily presence will be missed by his colleagues who have benefited from his knowledge and effective problem solving, his storytelling skills, his sense of humor, and affinity for office pranks, especially at Halloween; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Kevin Pose on the occasion of his retirement and extends best wishes on all of his future endeavors.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
