WHEREAS, an increase to the budget line item account for indigent cremation and burial contractual services is necessary due to a higher volume of applications for these services in 2021 than anticipated, in connection with the ongoing Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic; and,
WHEREAS, in order to provide this increase, an appropriation is needed; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the undesignated fund balance of the 2021 CARES Act Fund be and hereby is made:
