Body
WHEREAS, the Kansas City Community Safety Partnership Initiative focuses on reducing violent crime by building trusting and transparent relationships between client advocates and at-risk individuals through case management, mentoring, and counseling, while identifying other necessary services like employment, mental health, and substance abuse counseling; and,

WHEREAS, the attached Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Kansas City, MO, provides an appropriate mechanism to allow the County to participate in the Kansas City Community Safety Partnership Initiative, at an actual cost to the County in the amount of $78,269.00; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Prosecuting Attorney be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Intergovernmental Cooperative Agreement with the city of Kansas City, MO; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
