Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 5511, dated May 17, 2021, the Legislature did authorize the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with KC Common Good of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, for the furnishing of anti-violent crime prevention activities and services, at an actual cost to the County not to exceed $18,295.00; and,
WHEREAS, KC Common provides services relating to the "Working With Youth" initiative, a collaborative, violence prevention program that increases the number of paid internships and employment opportunities for Jackson County youth most at risk of violence, those ages 14-18, within historically marginalized communities, who are matched with an employer and a coach for the summer; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's Office has recommended an addendum to this agreement to provide for additional services, at a cost to the County not to exceed $30,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Prosecuting Attorney be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Addendum to the Cooperative Agreement with the KC Common Good; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement and Addendum thereto.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
