AN ORDINANCE amending the zoning districts established pursuant to the Unified Development Code by rezoning a certain 10.17± acre tract from District AG (Agricultural) to District RR (Residential Ranchette).

Body

 BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "AG" (Agricultural) and “RR” (Residential Ranchette) Districts, so that there will be transferred from District AG to District RR a tract of land, legally described as follows:

 

That part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 16, Township, 47 North, of the Base Line, Range 29 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, Jackson County, Missouri, being described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest Corner of said Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter; thence South 88 degrees 11 minutes 37 seconds East along the South line of said Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, 913.90 feet to the Point of Beginning of land herein described; thence continuing South 88 degrees 11 minutes 37 seconds East, 436.96 feet to the East line of said Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter; thence north 02 degrees 23 minutes 08 seconds East along said East line, 1014.65 feet; thence North 88 degrees 20 minutes 59 seconds West, 436.64 feet; thence South 02 degrees 24 minutes 15 seconds West, 1013.46 feet to the Point of Beginning.

 

 

Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Robert G. and Maria D. Genge (RZ-2021-609), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted 5 to 0 to recommend APPROVAL of this application after a public hearing on July 15, 2021, does hereby adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
