WHEREAS, in 2016 the Director of Finance and Purchasing awarded a term and supply contract to Lawn and Leisure of Lee’s Summit, MO, for the furnishing of golf course equipment, parts, and repair services for use by the Parks + Rec Department, with an estimated annual usage of $16,000.00, which is less than the $25,000.00 threshold amount requiring legislative approval under section 1050. of the County Code; and,
WHEREAS, an increase to this term and supply contract is necessary for additional maintenance of mowing and landscaping equipment for use at the Fred Arbanas Golf Course; and,
WHEREAS, the cost of the additional required golf course equipment, parts, and repair services, estimated at $30,000.00, will increase the annual usage of the term and supply contract to a level above $25,000.00 and will thus require legislative approval; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the increase to the existing term and supply contract be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the increase; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
