Body
WHEREAS, the County Counselor recommends that he be authorized to execute a Legal Services Agreement with Lathrop GPM of Kansas City, MO, in connection with the mediation of a construction claim dispute; and,
WHEREAS, Richard D. Rhyne, a member of the firm, is highly qualified to provide these services and has represented the County effectively and efficiently in past construction claim disputes; and,
WHEREAS, the not to exceed cost for Mr. Rhyne’s services is estimated at $7,500.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Counselor be and hereby is authorized to execute a Legal Services Agreement with Lathrop GPM of Kansas City, MO, for a term ending December 31, 2021, at a cost to the County not to exceed $7,500.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
