Body
WHEREAS, former U.S. President Donald J. Trump, Missouri Governor Mike Parson, and County Executive Frank White, Jr., have all declared, in one form or another, the ongoing Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic to be a public health emergency; and,

WHEREAS, the County, through its various efforts, plays a significant role in the public health of its citizens; and,

WHEREAS, an appropriate response by the County to this emergency will require significant expenditures from the County CARES Act Fund, which consists of monies provided by the U.S. Treasury for this purpose; and,

WHEREAS, the County, via Ordinance 5371, dated June 22, 2020, Ordinance 5420, dated October 5, 2020, Ordinance 5483, dated January 25, 2020, and Resolution 20535, dated October 19, 2020, has previously allocated a total of $1,213,800 in two earlier rounds of funding to address food insecurity issues; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive now recommends the execution of Cooperative Agreements with the following listed agencies, in the indicated amounts, to further address food insecurity issues brought on by the pandemic:
