WHEREAS, the COMBAT staff reviewed requests by certain municipalities for 2021 Law Enforcement School-Based Initiatives and related program funding and provided funding recommendations to the Jackson County Drug Commission on November 12, 2020, for the 2021 calendar year; and,
WHEREAS, the COMBAT staff and the Drug Commission now recommend these school-based drug prevention programs be funded in the following amounts:

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Prosecuting Attorney be and is hereby authorized to execute Cooperative Agreements with the cities of Blue Springs, Buckner, Grain Valley, Grandview, Independence, Lee's Summit, Oak Grove, and Sugar Creek and the Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners, at an aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $1,361,836.00, in forms to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts.
