Body
WHEREAS, the Office of the Clerk of the County Legislature has a need for appointment management software to provide for reduced waiting times and social distancing; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance 5456, dated November 23, 2020, now pending before the Legislature, would provide funds to allow for the purchase of this software; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has determined that this software can be obtained from only one source, Q-Less Software of Pasadena, CA, to ensure compatibility with other County software and ease of maintenance; and,
WHEREAS, this purchase, together with prior purchases of similar software from the same vendor, would bring the total cost of such purchases throughout 2020 to over $25,000.00, thus requiring legislative approval; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a contract for the needed appointment management software to Q-Less Software of Pasadena, CA, as a sole source purchase, at an actual cost to the County in the amount of $9,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the contract.
