Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 20464, dated July 20, 2020, the Legislature awarded a contract with three twelve-month options to extend, for the maintenance of data tracking software maintenance for use by COMBAT, to First Call Technologies, LLC, of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, as a sole source purchase; and,
WHEREAS, COMBAT has a need to purchase additional software and service packages including grant application software, prevention software, and the Striving Together to Reduce Violence in Neighborhoods (STRIVIN) package; and,
WHEREAS, section 1030.1, Jackson County Code, 1984, eliminates the requirement for competitive bidding when items to be purchased can be obtained from only one source and requires notification of and approval by the Legislature on such sole source purchases exceeding $25,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the purchase of additional software and service packages from First Call Technologies, LLC, as a sole source, because First Call, as the developer of this proprietary software, is the only vendor capable of supplying and maintaining it; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the following transfer be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
