A RESOLUTION transferring $48,621.00 within the 2020 Health Fund to cover the cost of moving expenses and the purchase of replacement furniture for the Public Administrator’s Office, made necessary by water damage at the Downtown Courthouse.

Body
WHEREAS, the Public Administrator’s Office incurred significant damage due to the pipe-bursting/flooding event of 2019; and,
WHEREAS, the office has a need to replace furniture that was damaged by the water; and,
WHEREAS, further, now that office renovations are complete, the office’s undamaged furniture needs to be moved back to the office from its offsite storage location; and,
WHEREAS, the furniture is available from a County term and supply contractor and the moving will be accomplished under a small contract awarded by the Director of Finance and Purchasing pursuant to section 1030.5 of the County Code; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is now required to place funds necessary to pay for the replacement furniture and moving costs in the proper accounts; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be and hereby is made:
