Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Human Resources advised that she is in need of an independent investigation to be conducted on a pending employment matter; and,
WHEREAS, Angela D. Gupta of Associates in Dispute Resolution, LLC (ADR), of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, is a well-qualified lawyer, experienced in providing the needed type of legal services; and,
WHEREAS, ADR has estimated that it can perform this investigation at a cost of $15,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Counselor be and hereby is authorized to execute a Legal Services Agreement with ADR of Kansas City, MO, for a term ending June 30, 2020, at a total cost to the County not to exceed $15,000.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
