Body
WHEREAS, the Assessment Director has requested a contract with CoStar Realty of Washington, DC, for the purpose of gaining access to on-line estate market and lease data, at a cost to the County in the amount of $14,304.00 for the initial term; and,
WHEREAS, CoStar provides a combination of products including CoStar Property, CoStar Comps, and CoStar Tenant that will allow the Assessment Department to have access to this market and lease data; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.1, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has determined that CoStar is the only known vendor that provides these services, thus removing the requirement for competitive bidding; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a twelve-month contract with four twelve month options to extend for the purpose of market and lease data to CoStar Realty Information of Washington, DC, as a sole source purchase, based upon CoStar Realty's status as the sole provider of this proprietary data; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the contract be awarded as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the contract.
