A RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public Works to execute grant applications and agreements for stormwater grants from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources on behalf of Jackson County and the cities of Grandview and Grain Valley, MO.

Body

 WHEREAS, by Resolution 20256, dated September 16, 2019, the Legislature authorized an application for a stormwater grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) in connection with the Raytown Road Bridge Replacement Study; and

 

WHEREAS, in a subsequent round of funding, MDNR has offered additional stormwater grants to Jackson County and the cities of Grandview and Grain Valley, MO; and,

 

WHEREAS, all stormwater grant project submittals and MDNR reimbursements are required to be handled by the County; and,

 

WHEREAS, the County is the official recipient of all the grants and the County will pass through grant funds, once received, to the cities of Grandview and Grain Valley; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby authorizes the Director of Public Works to execute grant applications and agreements for stormwater grants from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources on behalf of Jackson County and the cities of Grandview and Grain Valley, MO; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works and all other County officials be and hereby are authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to give effect to the intent of this Resolution.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date: This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
