WHEREAS, the Director of Parks + Rec has recommended that 33,655 stadium seats to be removed from Arrowhead Stadium be declared surplus and their disposal be authorized; and,
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Parks + Rec Department to recycle the seats via an addendum to the term and supply contract with Schneider Industries of St. Louis, MO, awarded by Resolution 20197, dated July 15, 2019; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the unusable stadium seats be declared surplus and disposed of pursuant to chapter 11 of the Jackson County Code; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the 33,655 stadium seats to be removed from Arrowhead be and are hereby declared surplus; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and is hereby authorized to dispose of said seats pursuant to chapter 11, Jackson County Code.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
