Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 5270, dated September 26, 2019, the Family Court Division’s Juvenile Court Diversion Program received grant funds in the amount of $292,967.00, from the State of Missouri Division of Youth Services; and,
WHEREAS, the Family Court Division has been awarded additional grant funds in the amount of $110,000.00 for the Juvenile Court Diversion Program by the State of Missouri Division of Youth Services, for the period of July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2020; and,
WHEREAS, the additional grant funds will be used for the Parenting with Love and Limits project, which combines parent education and group therapy program with individual coaching (family therapy) sessions for adolescents and their parents; and,
WHEREAS, the grant does not require local matching funds; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the additional grant funds in the proper spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the undesignated fund balance of the 2020 Grant Fund:
