Body
WHEREAS, the Fred Arbanas Golf Course cart barn was destroyed in a spring storm in 2018; and,
WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department has a need to construct a new cart barn; and,
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 5239, dated July 15, 2019, the Legislature did award a contract for the construction of the metal building shell and concrete foundation for the new cart barn to Mega Industries Corp. of North Kansas City, MO, at an actual cost to the County not to exceed $514,575.00; and,
WHEREAS, the remaining required work on the barn, including plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work, will be performed by existing County term and supply vendors; and,
WHEREAS, in order to fund the remaining work, an appropriation is necessary; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made:
