Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 20257, dated September 16, 2019, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance of the high bids received at an auction for eight real property parcels formerly within the County Park System that had been previously declared surplus; and,
WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department desires to purchase equipment for maintenance, operation, and security and recommends that the auction proceeds, in the amount of $179,480.00, be made available for this purpose; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the auction proceeds in the proper spending accounts so that the funds may be used to purchase the needed equipment; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the undesignated fund balance of the 2019 Park Fund be and hereby is made:
