Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 19399, dated February 27, 2017, the Legislature did award a contract, with three twelve-month renewal options, to BKD, LLP on Request for Proposals No.69-16 for auditing services for use by the Finance and Purchasing Department; and,

WHEREAS, this contract has been renewed annually for 2018 and 2019; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing now recommends an increase to this contract for 2019 for additional work performed; and,

WHEREAS, due to an unanticipated requirement relating to the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Statement 75, Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB), the additional work, at an additional cost of $4,200.00, was not included in the 2018 BKD, LLP contract in the amount of $133,600.00 that was executed earlier this year; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the Amendment to the Agreement with BKD, LLP, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract and amendment thereto.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
