Body
WHEREAS, the Raytown TEAM KC Outreach Pilot Program will provide multi-dimensional youth empowerment and sustainability programs for teens, encouraging them to participate in sports, workshops and weekly field trips, as well as provide them with healthy life-styles choices; and,


WHEREAS, Sisters In Christ will partner with the Raytown School District, the Raytown Police and Fire Departments, the Raytown Christian Church, Life Change Church, and area businesses to develop and establish these programs for at risk youth of the Raytown community; and,

WHEREAS, lunch and transportation will be provided from area stakeholders; and,

WHEREAS, this program will provide assistance to at risk youth and support working parents of Raytown; and,

WHEREAS, the voters of Jackson County, Missouri, renewed the anti-crime sales tax to provide funding for the fight against illegal drugs and violent crime in our community; and,

WHEREAS, the proceeds and interest generated from this tax are deposited in a special Jackson County Anti-Crime Sales Tax Fund that is segregated and not commingled with the general fund or any other special funds of the County; and,

WHEREAS, the voters and the Legislature authorized the Jackson County COMBAT Commission, subject to approval by the Legislature, to contract with any organization or entity, whether public or private, which engages in community crime prevention activities, for the purpose of preventing drug use and drug-related and violent offenses; and,
